Topic
Home Health ADRs – a Closer Look at Probes and Pre-claim Reviews September 20, 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Given the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ (CMS) increased focus on fraud, abuse and waste, it seems that there is an onslaught of audit contractor programs with varying focuses, and this can be overwhelming for providers in the heavily regulated industry of health care. Knowing who is looking at the claims and HOW will shed light on the whys and will help providers better prepare for the process.
The importance of documentation is not a new subject, but the urgency for getting it right increases every day. This session will offer a roadmap that providers can follow to manage the audit process, increase awareness of Home Health Probe and Education Medical Reviews and Pre-Claim Reviews, review sample ADR denials, provide takeaway tips and procedural concepts to assist with ensuring and monitoring proper documentation and review processes to manage response to requests for documentation.
