Session #1
On September 13, Jennifer and Maureen will present ADRs, Audits and Documentation. The presentation (Track ADM) will be held from 8:00 – 9:30 am.
With the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ (CMS) increased focus on fraud, abuse and waste, it seems that there is an onslaught of audit contractors with varying focuses, and this can be overwhelming for providers in our already heavily regulated profession. Knowing who is looking at the claims and how will shed light on the whys and will help providers better prepare themselves for the process.

Additionally, on September 13, Jennifer will present on Antibiotic Stewardship. The presentation (Track NUR) will be held from 3:00 – 4:30 pm.
Improving the use of antibiotics in health care to protect patients and reduce the threat of antibiotic resistance is a national priority. Antibiotic stewardship refers to a set of commitments and actions designed to “optimize the treatment of infections while reducing the adverse events associated with antibiotic use.”
