Last year CMS changed the RAI Manual. You are probably familiar with the changes to section N and P that appeared on the MDS assessment; however that is just the tip. This presentation includes detailed review of RAI Manual Change Tables in the following sections: the Significant Change in Status Assessment requirements, resident care plan requirements, ADL definitions and coding requirements, Section GG coding requirements, Section I requirements for coding of UTIs, Section J to fall definitions, Section L to definitions, Section M definitions and coding requirements, Section N definitions and coding requirements, and Section P definitions and coding requirements.

With the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) efforts to shift focus from volume to value, it is critical that Post-Acute Care (PAC) providers understand the implications of the numerous reimbursement reforms.
